This App is designed for children under 13 years of age and requires parental consent for use. We take data privacy seriously and have designed our app with child safety as our top priority.

To create an account, we collect from parents or guardians:

• Email Address: Used for account creation, authentication, and communication
• Password: Securely hashed and encrypted (never stored in plain text)

2.2 Child's Learning Data

To provide personalized educational experiences, we collect:

• Practice Session Data: Which multiplication problems were answered, whether answers were correct or incorrect, and response times
• Knowledge Test Results: Performance on periodic assessments to track learning progress
• Skill Level Data: Current difficulty level and mastery of multiplication facts
• Study Session Timestamps: When practice sessions occurred (for spaced repetition algorithm)

Important: We do NOT collect any personally identifiable information about children, such as names, photos, physical addresses, or phone numbers.

2.3 Technical Information

• Device Storage: Local storage for offline functionality and data synchronization
• Network Connectivity Status: To determine when to sync data (online/offline mode)

2.4 What We DO NOT Collect

• No geolocation or GPS data
• No photos, videos, or audio recordings
• No contacts or address book information
• No device identifiers for tracking
• No browsing history or behavior outside the app

3. How We Use Information

We use collected information solely for educational purposes:

• Personalized Learning: Adapt question difficulty based on child's skill level
• Spaced Repetition: Schedule practice sessions for optimal long-term retention
• Progress Tracking: Show parents their child's learning progress and mastery
• Cross-Device Sync: Allow seamless learning across multiple devices (iOS, Android, Web)
• Account Management: Authenticate parent/guardian access to the account

We will NEVER use your data for:

• Advertising or marketing
• Creating user profiles for commercial purposes
• Selling or sharing with third parties
• Behavioral targeting

4. Data Sharing and Third Parties

4.1 No Third-Party Sharing

In compliance with Apple's Kids Category requirements and COPPA, we DO NOT share any personal information or device information with third parties.

4.2 Service Providers

We use the following trusted service providers who have strict data protection obligations:

• Firebase (Google Cloud): Authentication and secure data storage

  • Data is encrypted in transit and at rest
  • Stored in secure, GDPR and COPPA-compliant data centers

These service providers only process data on our behalf and are contractually prohibited from using it for any other purpose.

4.3 No Analytics or Advertising

We do NOT use:

• Third-party analytics services (e.g., Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel)
• Advertising networks or SDKs
• Social media integrations
• Tracking pixels or cookies for behavioral tracking

5. Parental Rights and Controls

Parents and guardians have the following rights regarding their child's data:

5.1 Access

Review all learning data and progress information within the app's Progress page.

5.2 Deletion

Request complete deletion of all data by contacting us at support@ofenbock.com. We will respond within 48 hours and complete deletion within 30 days.

5.3 Data Export

Request a copy of all collected data in a portable format.

5.4 Consent Withdrawal

Withdraw consent at any time by deleting the account through the Settings page or by contacting us.

5.5 Clear History

A "Clear All History" button is available in the Settings page to remove all practice and test data while keeping the account active.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information:

• Encryption: All data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS and at rest in Firebase
• Authentication: Secure password hashing using Firebase Authentication best practices
• Access Controls: Data is only accessible by the authenticated parent/guardian account
• Secure Infrastructure: Hosted on Google Cloud Platform with SOC 2, ISO 27001 compliance
• Regular Updates: We regularly update our security practices and dependencies

While we strive to protect your data, no internet transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but follow best practices to minimize risks.

7. Data Retention

• Active Accounts: Learning data is retained as long as the account is active to provide personalized education
• Account Deletion: When an account is deleted, all associated data is permanently removed within 30 days
• Inactive Accounts: Accounts inactive for more than 2 years may be deleted after notifying the parent/guardian email
• Data Minimization: We automatically limit stored data (e.g., keeping only the 100 most recent knowledge tests) to prevent unbounded growth

8. International Data Transfers

Your data may be stored and processed in countries outside your residence, including the United States, where Firebase servers are located. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place:

• Data processing agreements with Google Cloud/Firebase
• Standard contractual clauses for international transfers
• Compliance with GDPR for European users

9. Children's Privacy

This app is designed for children under 13 and complies with COPPA requirements:

• Parental Consent: We require verifiable parental consent (email-based account creation) before collecting any information
• Minimal Data Collection: We collect only information necessary for the educational purpose
• No Social Features: The app has no chat, messaging, or social networking features
• No External Links: No links to external websites or content (except in this privacy policy for reference)
• No In-App Purchases: No purchases that children could make without parental involvement
